The Campbellsville University School of Music hosted 13 young musicians, grades 8-12, for Chamber Music Camp June 3-6.
While at camp, students participated in small ensembles, music history and theory classes and attended workshops. The goal is to help these young musicians become better musicians by giving them a chance to play in small ensembles. It also gives them a chance to experience life as a college musician by staying on campus and performing challenging music.
Students from the School of Music volunteered as coaches for the event. These coaches led rehearsals, gave lessons and played with the participants in the closing concert, along with School of Music faculty and staff members.
This is an annual event for the Campbellsville University School of Music.
