Cave City artist to exhibit work in Art Gallery beginning Aug. 29

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Annabelle Williams of Cave City, Ky., kicks off the opening of Campbellsville University’s art gallery schedule of exhibits for the 2012-13 academic year. The first exhibit opens Thursday, Aug. 29 and runs through Friday, Sept. 14 in the Art Gallery, located on the campus of Campbellsville University at 205 University Drive, Campbellsville.

A closing reception for the artist will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14 in the Art Gallery. Both the exhibit and gallery are open to the public.

Williams, a Kentucky native, completed her undergraduate studies at Western Kentucky University. She received a master of fine arts from the University of Kentucky in 2001, where she also taught painting and drawing for seven years and also served as studio director.

Williams has exhibited her work at local, regional and international shows.

Now a freelance artist, Williams continues to teach at the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, where she has been part of the teaching faculty for 10 years. She served as chair from 2005 to 2007.
