Dean of Students, Georgetown College, Georgetown KY

Georgetown College, in central Kentucky, seeks applications for the position of Dean of Students. Established in 1829, Georgetown College is a prominent liberal arts college located in the beautiful bluegrass region of central Kentucky and known for the close, personal relationships between faculty, staff, and students.   Approximately 1,000 undergraduates live on the residential campus. The successful candidate will have appropriate credentials and experience to support and enhance the Christian mission of the College. The successful candidate will have experience in Student Life programs and a commitment to active participation in the broad variety of Student Life services and programs. The Dean of Students will report directly to the President and will serve on the Executive Cabinet.  This position collaborates broadly across the College with students, faculty, staff and community partners on all matters affecting the student experience. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, innovative and energetic leader with a minimum of five years of leadership and managerial experience.

The Search Committee will be looking for a working knowledge and understanding of student life and academic initiatives, state and federal policy issues (including but not limited to Title IX compliance requirements), risk management, experience in policy and student conduct protocols, and a track record of educating others with regard to these areas. This position requires at least a master’s degree in a related field. Pay will be competitive and commensurate with credentials and experience.
