Camp Ramapo, a residential summer camp for children, adolescents, and young adults with diverse needs and abilities in Rhinebeck, NY is seeking to hire up to 200 summer staff, many of whom are college students interested in the fields of Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, and Education. We offer both internship credit and college courses on site. All of our staff receive room and board, along with a stipend and travel bonus.
Depending on your program, we have a college course “Fieldwork in Special Education”, which some students may receive credit for. A summer at our camp has also fulfilled a number of our counselors’ internship or fieldwork requirements. Our staff receives hours of hands-on experience adapting to our campers’ individual needs, de-escalating behavior, and building relationships with a diverse set of youth. Our professional network includes year-round staff members, board members, and years and years of staff alumni who have pursued careers in related fields.
