CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University School of Music will host the 2023 Fourth-All District Band Concert to honor the musical excellence of approximately 275 Kentucky students from middle to high school age.

The 275 students will rehearse Friday, Jan. 27- Saturday, Jan. 28 at Campbellsville University.

The 2023 All-District Band will perform in concert Saturday, Jan. 28, in Campbellsville University’s Ransdell Chapel at 4:30 p.m. The chapel is located at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

The concert is free and open to the public.

“The Campbellsville University School of Music and university bands are pleased to partner with the Fourth District Band Directors Association to provide excellent rehearsal and performance spaces, use of the equipment and an opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape and people of Campbellsville University,” Dr. Corey Bonds, assistant professor of music and director of bands, said.

Bonds said students from all over the district exhibited “tremendous musicianship” to qualify for the All-District and Symphonic Concert Bands.

He said rising music education majors could participate in a professional rehearsal environment while allowing their passion for music to shine.

Each student auditioned and was selected to participate in the various groups.

“Guest conductors will come to campus and lead rehearsals with students from numerous schools in our surrounding counties,” Bonds said.

While All-District students are on campus, they will have the opportunity to experience the campus life of Campbellsville University.
