The General Ledger position requires an individual to possess the following skills:

- Ability to read, understand and conform with Banking Rules, Regulations and Policies
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and indirectly to the President and COO.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily posting and balancing of income and expense accounts to the trial balance.
- Daily accounting of the investment securities accounts.
- Review of all general ledger accounts for accuracy and proper descriptions
- Payment of bank operating expenses.
- Preparation of reports in a timely and efficient manner.
- Posting and reconciling of various accrual accounts.
- Various posting to correspondent bank account.
- Reconcilement of certain general ledger accounts.
- Monitoring and reporting of pledged securities
- Preparation of various year end tax forms (1099s, etc.)
- Preparation and monitoring of items for unclaimed property reporting.
- Attending various committee meetings as needed.
- Monitor transactions for monthly sales tax reporting requirements.
- Work with CFO to provide necessary information to complete annual audits / exams.
- Maintain financial dept records via digital recordkeeping and retention requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall operation and profitability of the Bank.
Requirements and Technical Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree (in accounting or business-related area of study) preferred.
- Proficient computer skills (specifically with Microsoft Office Products)
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to work well independently.
