CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Alumni of Campbellsville University are invited back to campus for several alumni activities as part of Homecoming whose theme this year is “Together Again.”
Campbellsville University will host two separate events to honor the Golden Heritage Club—a group for alumni who graduated from Campbellsville University at least 50 years ago.
First, Golden Heritage Club members are invited to a reunion and lunch at 11 a.m., Fri- day, Oct. 8, in the Badgett Academic Support Center (BASC) Banquet Hall, 110 University Drive, Campbellsville. The reunion is free for those in the Classes of 1970 and 1971. For everyone else, tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple.
At 2 p.m., Oct. 8, at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, the Classes of 1970 and 1971 will be inducted into the Golden Heritage Club. During the ceremony, new members of the club will put on graduation gowns and maroon stoles to mark the occasion. They will walk across the stage and receive a certificate to commemorate their 50th year.
According to Ashley Fox, director of alumni relations, Campbellsville University is honoring two classes this year, since COVID-19 canceled all in-person activities for Homecoming last year.
“We wanted to make sure they still had a chance to reunite with their classmates and celebrate their reunion properly,” Fox said.
Additionally, at 6 p.m., Oct. 8, in the BASC Banquet Hall, an Alumni Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held. Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Cost is $20 to attend or $25 to include a ticket to the production of “The Addams Family: The Musical” at 8 p.m., Oct. 8, at the Russ Mobley Theater, 114 University Drive, Campbellsville.

The Classes of 1960 and 1961 reunion, which was scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 7 at the Chowning Executive Dining Room in Winters Dining Hall, has been canceled.
