CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – In an attempt to meet the needs of all individuals, Campbellsville University offers a wide variety of class options to her students; the next offering begins March 12 and ends May 5.
The bi-term classes are eight-week classes and range from online to the traditional classroom.
“One of the great resources offered to students are bi-term classes,” Dave Walters, vice president for admissions and student services, said. Instead of the traditional 16- week courses that are normally offered, bi-terms only last for eight weeks and take place either online or on campus.
“There are definitely a lot of benefits to taking bi-term classes,” Barbara Queiroz, a junior from Campbellsville, Ky., said.
“They allow you to complete courses much faster. I am currently taking astronomy, and I am enjoying it a lot. Although the class is much shorter than a regular term, the professor does his best to help us understand the material.”
Bi-term classes also offer a more efficient and precise classroom experience.
Zach Smith, a junior social studies education major from Russell Springs, Ky., said, “Bi-term classes are a great way to get some of your general education classes out of the way. The classes are more focused on the content so learning is more focused and concentrated on subject matter.”
“Bi-terms offer a ‘second chance’ for enrollment to those who were unable to do so at the start of the semester,” Paula Caldwell, CU’s coordinator for undergraduate Admission, said. “If an individual was unable to enroll at the beginning of the semester for any reason, they may choose to utilize a bi-term class.”
A number of courses are being offered from all disciplines including math, psychology, business, English and more.
