Campbellsville University Creative Spirit Academy offering virtual audition workshop June 1-5

Campbellsville University art students post senior seminars online for public viewing

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s Creative Spirit Academy is offering its summer program online.

The Creative Spirit Theater Academy, through the collaborative team of Campbellsville University Theater and Town Hall Productions, strives to provide quality theater arts training in a fun atmosphere.

The Academy will be hosting a virtual audition workshop June 1-5 for ages 6-14.

Registrants will receive a meeting link over email. Each participant will have two 30-minute individual lessons where they will work on a short monologue and song.

At the end of the week, there will be a large group virtual meeting where all participants will perform their audition piece. The goal is to teach the participants about the audition process and equip them with a finished product they can use for future productions.

The Creative Theater Academy is offering private acting and singing lessons with Alia McClendon, community theater manager at Campbellsville University. She has been in theater education for the last four years and has also been in several CU theater productions.
