CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Campbellsville University String Ensemble, under the direction of CU instructor of music Wansoo Cho, will present its spring concert Monday, May 2 at 8 p.m. in The Gheens Recital Hall of the Gosser Fine Arts Center at 210 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky.
The concert will feature one of the most well-known works for strings, “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Cho said. Other works to be performed include Schroter’s “Oboe Concerto” featuring CU graduate student Dongseok Yu of Busan, South Korea on oboe, and “More Love to Thee, O Christ” arranged for strings and piano.
CU graduate student Eunhye Lee of Busan, South Korea will play the piano. The performance is free and open to the public.
Members of the string ensemble include: violins — Saelim Jung of Changwon, South Korea; Seunghwa Han of Busan, South Korea; Jaehyok Kim of Gyeongsan, South Korea and Hannah Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio;
Violas – Leonardo Barros of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Roger Noel Davis of Campbellsville; and Katie Johnson of Leitchfield, Ky.;
Cello – Seth Johnson of Leitchfield; piano – Eunhye Lee of Busan, South Korea and oboe – Dongseok Yu of Busan, South Korea.
