CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University’s Homecoming Queen will be crowned in a virtual format this year to match all other Homecoming festivities.
This year, the Homecoming court is made up of six individuals. Faith Wilson, a freshman of Louisville, is representing the archery team. Sammy Rogers, a senior of Lawrenceburg, is representing the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Daetona Stasheen, a junior of Grove City, Ohio, is representing Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM).
Chosalin Morales, a sophomore of Erlanger, is representing the Office of University Communications. Reagan Davidson, a senior of Paducah, is representing University Chorale and Samantha Fulton, a senior of Beaver Dam, is representing the Education Club. Kaitlynn Gover, of Somerset, Ky., is this year’s freshman attendant representing the freshman class.
“Since there is not going to be a fall Homecoming football game or an in-person parade, everything is going to be virtual. With no creating of a float, candidates will be required to create a mood board encompassing one picture of them and items, pictures and other things that represent their organization they are representing,” Cathryn Jones, Student Government Association president, said.
The candidates’ mood boards will be on display in Winters Dining Hall during the week of voting.
Like past years, Jones said students will be able to vote on TigerNet. Voting will be open until Oct. 16.
The queen will be announced Saturday, Oct. 24 on Campbellsville University’s YouTube channel at 3 p.m.
Jones said when football resumes in the spring semester there will be a game where SGA will recognize the winner and runner ups.
