CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Dr. Daniel Dickard, president of the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention Pastors’ Conference, will speak twice during the inauguration of Campbellsville
University’s President Dr. Joseph Hopkins.
Dickard will speak at a community worship service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hopkins Ave., Campbellsville. The service is free and open to the public.
Earlier in the day, Dickard will speak at the university’s regular chapel service at 10 a.m., also in the chapel. In his role as president of the 2023 Southern Baptist Convention Pastors’ Conference, Dickard’s focus is on expository preaching, intercessory prayer and the Great Commission, and his aim is to see churches grow in health and strength.
Dickard has been serving as lead pastor of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, N.C. since 2018. He is a two-time graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, receiving his Master of Divinity (M.Div.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).
While at Southwestern, he served as dean of students and instructor of preaching.
He is the author of a book titled “Church Together: The Church of We in the Age of Me,” published Jan. 13, 2022. Dickard is married to Cassie Dickard, and they have three children: Conrad, Kesyd and Carolina.
