CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – “The Singing Princess,” a stage adaption of the popular children’s book of the same name, will be produced in the Russ Mobley Theater of the Alumni Building at 114 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky., at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
The production is free and open to the public.
Starr Garrett, artistic director of the play, said they are encouraging parents to read the book with their children and then take them to the production.
The show will also be performed at Kentucky Christian Academy at 10 a.m. Nov. 21 and at Green County Primary School at 10 a.m. Nov. 21.
The characters include: Lacy Mudd of Campbellsville as Princess Melody; Steven Yospur of Friendswood, Texas as Prince Dance-a-Lo; David Emerson of Dunnville, Ky. as Narrator;
Ian Shepard of Somerset, Ky. as Servant 1; Kimberley Hough of Louisville, Ky. as Servant 2; and Sarah Havener of Campbellsville as Servant 3.
Garrett is the artistic director; Bella Jeffrey of Campbellsville is the director. The set is produced by Yospur and Havener, and the costumes by Hough and Mudd. Properties are done by Jeffrey and Shepard. Emerson is in charge of publicity
