CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Rev. Brent Gambrell, president of Brent Gambrell Ministries of Nashville, Tenn., will be at Campbellsville University Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 10 a.m., speaking to students, faculty and staff at chapel in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville. This event will be free and open to the public.

He is also speaking at the annual spring revival Monday, Jan. 30 through Thursday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
On Monday, Jan. 30, Gambrell will be having a “meet and greet” at 7 p.m. in the chapel. Everyone is invited to the event as well as the revival and chapel service.
The CU Baptist Campus Ministries Praise Team will lead worship throughout the revival.
Gambrell is the founder of Brent Gambrell Ministries (BGM) whose mission is: “Ministering in the country of Haiti, by leading teams, distributing food and medicine and working with local churches to find creative and relevant ways to bring to gospel to the people.”
Gambrell founded BGM in 1990, and in 2003 he began taking mission teams to Haiti to work alongside local Haiti churches. BGM was in Haiti 23 hours after the 7.0 magnitude earthquake in January 2010, the most powerful earthquake to hit Haiti in over a century.
Gambrell and his ministry rescued 48 youngsters, but had no means of feeding them so they requested help via MSNBC Nightly News on a business card handed to anchor Brian Williams onboard an Air Force cargo jet returning home. The business card simply read, “48 babies saved, but no food.”
Receiving numerous amounts of national coverage, BGM returned to Haiti in March 2010 to help rebuild and provide hope to all those devastated by the earthquake.
Gambrell is a co-author of “Experiencing God; Student Edition.”
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations. All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10) and on WLCU Radio 88.7 FM and are streamed live on the Internet.
