CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Jeanette Parker, associate professor of psychology at Campbellsville University, has been granted tenure, according to an announcement made by Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Parker, a Somerset, Ky. native, began teaching at Campbellsville University in 1989.
In addition to teaching psychology, she serves as assistant vice president for academic affairs and Title III director at Campbellsville University.
Parker received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Campbellsville College in 1985, her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Western Kentucky University in 1991 and her Ph.D. in psychology from Capella University in 2005.
Parker serves at the university as academic advisor for general education and psychology courses, sponsor of the Psychology Club and chair of the Christian Women’s Job Corp Advisory Board.
Parker serves on several university committees, and is also the organizer of the annual “Not-So-Trivial-Pursuit of Psychology Tournament.”
Parker has received awards such as adjunct teacher award from Campbellsville University, Student Government Association Challenger Award in 2004 and the Academic Excellence, non-tenured faculty award in 2005.
Parker is a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church, and is a member of the American Psychological Association, Kentucky Psychological Association and the Society for the Teaching of Psychology.
She and her husband, Virgil, reside in Campbellsville. They have two children, Zac and Abi.
