CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University will host Colmon Elridge III, executive assistant to Gov. Steve Beshear, for chapel Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.

Chapel is held in the Ransdell Chapel on campus at 10 a.m. every Wednesday and is free and open to the public.
Elridge has served as the executive assistant to Gov. Steve Beshear since he was appointed in 2007. He is a graduate of Transylvania University and active in the Kentucky Democratic Party.
He was appointed in 2008 as director of the White House Faith Based Initiatives. He also serves as the executive vice president for the Young Democrats of America, the largest partisan youth organization in the country. Elridge is responsible for issuing advocacy campaigns, facilitating relationships with Congress and the White House, and implementing strategy.
While attending Transylvania University he held numerous leadership positions including serving as president of the College Democrats of Kentucky. He earned a master’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University, where he served as executive vice president for the EKU Student Government Association, president of EKU College Democrats, and vice president of Madison County Young Democrats.
He is a native of Harrison County.
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations.
All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU- (Campbellsville Cable channel 10) and are streamed live on the Internet.
