CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Kay W. Gupton of Greensburg, Ky., has been employed as instructor in human performance at Campbellsville University, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.
Gupton received a bachelor of science from then Campbellsville College in 1977, and her master’s and rank I from Western Kentucky University in 1980 and 1984, respectively.
Gupton taught at Green County Middle School in Greensburg, Ky. for 32 years and served as an administrator for five years. She also coached basketball, softball, track and volleyball.
She is a member of the Kentucky Education Association, the National Education Association and the Kentucky Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Gupton received the distinguished teacher award.
Gupton is the daughter of Margaret D. Williams of Greensburg, Ky., and the late Elmore Williams. She is married to Gerald Gupton, and has three children, Josh Rogers, Kayla Daniels and Cody Gupton.
