Wilson spoke on the meaning of God’s unconditional love and used comparisons from his own relationship with his father and his relationship with his sons.
Wilson used the scripture 1 John 3:1 (ESV) “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know Him.”
He spoke of the love that is common among parents for their children and said, “It is like no love I’ve felt before.” He compared that love to the love of God by saying, “He loves you, because that’s what a parent does, you are his child, and he is your Father.”
Wilson said you don’t have to obey God to earn his love, “You can run away from God, but his love will follow you.” He ended by saying, “God still loves you no matter who you are, or what you’ve done.”
