“Campbellsville University is pleased to be featuring our local schools in a series called ‘Education Today in Campbellsville-Taylor County,’” Chowning said. “The purpose of this series of interviews with the superintendents and principals of the schools in each system is to help bring attention to the many positive things that are going in the schools,” he said.
“Our local schools are working hard to provide quality educational opportunity to our children and young people,” Chowning said. “In an era when too much attention is given to the negative aspects of education, we want to affirm that positive educational initiatives are ongoing in Taylor County, Campbellsville Independent and Kentucky Christian schools.”
Chowning said, “Campbellsville University works closely with these and other area school systems. Our students, faculty, and staff are very much involved in the schools – as parents, supporters, volunteers and as resource people. “We look forward to broadcasting this series of interviews with school administrators in our three local school systems and highlighting their plans for 2011-12.
“It is our hope that these interviews will be beneficial to parents and others involved in the schools.” The times the shows air are as follows: on Sundays of the weeks given above at 8 a.m., on Mondays at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
