CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Campbellsville University will host its fall commencement services for 239 candidates for graduation in two separate ceremonies Friday, Dec. 16 in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
The ceremony for Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degrees Friday, Dec. 16 is at 2 p.m. There are 106 candidates for graduation in this service.
Commencement Services for Associate, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Social Work, and all Master degrees will follow at 4 p.m. with 133 candidates in this ceremony.
Both services will take place in the Ransdell Chapel.
Each CU graduate received four priority seating tickets for family or friends in the priority seating section, but they can bring as many guests as they would like. These other guests (without the priority tickets) would sit in the general seating area.
Candidates participating in the ceremony at 2 p.m. need to check in at the Davenport Student Commons at 1:15 p.m. to receive their name card and line up for the graduate walk.
Candidates participating in the ceremony at 4 p.m. need to check in at the Davenport Student Commons at 3:15 p.m. to receive their name card and to line up for the graduate walk.
Dr. Michael V. Carter, president, will lead the candidates on a graduate walk across campus to the Ransdell Chapel.
In 2001, graduates placed a stone marker in front of Montgomery Library and, along with Carter, initiated the Graduate Walk. Students touched the stone as they passed, signifying the lasting impact that Campbellsville University had made on their lives. Graduates are invited to join Carter and other faculty members to participate in this memorable event.
The Office of Alumni Relations will host a graduation lunch for all December graduates and their friends and families. Each student with a meal plan will receive two free lunch tickets, and students will scan their card. Any student without a meal plan will receive three free lunch tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased for $7.75 at the Winters Dining Hall.
The luncheon will take place at Winters Dining Hall, located at 411 N. Columbia Ave., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for graduates in the 2 p.m. service, and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. for graduates in the 4 p.m. service.
