CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr.J. Robert Gaddis, dean of the School of Music at Campbellsville University, was invited as guest conductor of the Symphonic Band at the Tainan University of Technology International Youth Music Festival in Tainan, Taiwan.

The festival began on July 31 and ended with a concert presented by the 75- member ensemble on Aug. 5 in the Municipal Auditorium of Tainan.
On each of the other evenings, various professional musicians from Hong Kong, Canada, China and Taiwan presented guest recitals.
The festival was co-sponsored by the Tainan University of Technology and the Taiwanese Ministry of Education.
In March, Gaddis was the guest conductor of the Tainan University of Technology Symphonic Wind Ensemble with Dr. Lun Yun Chang, dean of the School of Music at TUT as bassoon soloist.Also featured was Dr. Bill Budai, assistant professor of piano at Campbellsville, as guest soloist performing George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the wind ensemble.
Gaddis has been on the music faculty for 29 years and is in his 25th year serving as head of the Campbellsville University School of Music.
