CU’s Dr. Donna Irwin Hedgepath receives tenure

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Donna Irwin Hedgepath, associate professor of education at Campbellsville University, has been granted tenure, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Hedgepath has served at CU since 2004. She received her Bachelor of Music from Campbellsville College in 1992, and Masters of Music in Music Education from Campbellsville University in 1999.

Hedgepath as served as CU since 2001, serving as adjunct professor for CU’s School of Music until 2004 when she became assistant professor of education.

Her Ph. D. is in music education from the University of Kentucky, which she received in 2006.

She is a 1988 graduate of Fulton County High School.

Hedgepath served as choral director at Marion County Schools in Lebanon, Ky., from 1993 to 2001.

She was named Outstanding Senior Music Student at Campbellsville College in 1992. Also in 1992, she received the Business and Professional Young Women Award.

She was named KMEA College/University Music Teacher of the Year in 2004.

She is a member of the Kentucky Music Educator’s Association, American Choral Director’s Association and the Kentucky Association of Gifted Education.

She and her husband, Wesley, reside in Campbellsville.
