The Director of Resource Development will lead fundraising and donor stewardship activities for Isaiah House, Inc., a comprehensive substance use disorder treatment program serving residents across Kentucky and beyond. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to substance use disorder treatment, prevention, and advocacy and be able to effectively articulate the needs of Isaiah House clients, programs, and services in a variety of situations and communication channels. This position offers flexibility with a hybrid workplace model mixing in-office and remote work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field and 3 to 5 years relevant resource development and/or nonprofit experience
- Team player with strong organizational and project management skills, and attention to detail
- Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

- Expertise in software and tools for stewarding and cultivating donors

Job duties:
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and build partnerships with individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Lead and supervise the implementation of a comprehensive annual campaign strategy.
- Oversee friend raising and fund-raising events including the Annual Banquet and Silent Auction
- Establish benchmarks and regular monthly reporting processes to measure the results of giving and special event activities.
- Create an Annual Fundraising calendar with targeted dates.
- Work closely with marketing and public relations staff to manage consistent messaging to donors and prospects in promoting special events, engaging community support, and generating annual revenue.
- Supervises and leads a resource development team consisting of grant writer(s), resource development coordinator, and a donor relations specialist.
- Use prospect research tools and CRM analytics to build relationships and identify new partnerships and donor prospects.
- Manage and enhance the process of donor acknowledgement, recognition, cultivation, and stewardship. Monitors to ensure the timely acknowledgement of all gifts.
- Researches and maintains a list of foundations and corporate giving programs on a local, state, and national level that are potential supporters for Isaiah House programs and services.
- Actively attends and participates in educational and professional development activities to enhance and grow skills in resource development.
