CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Bill Budai has been promoted at Campbellsville University.
Budai, assistant professor of piano, is now professor of piano. He has been employed at Campbellsville University since 2008.
Campbellsville University’s faculty receive promotion from recommendations by the university’s tenure and promotion committee and Administrative Council.
Budai has taught piano at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University in 1992, a Master of Music in Piano Performance/Pedagogy from Bowling Green State University in 1995, and his Ph.D. in Music Education/Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oklahoma in 2005.
Budai was the recipient of the Campbellsville University Academic Excellence Award for Non-Tenured Faculty in 2010. He has conducted piano master classes in Taiwan and South Korea and has taught in Salzburg, Austria with the Kentucky Institute for International Studies.
He has given presentations at Kentucky Music Teachers Association state conferences as well as the Indiana Music Teachers Association state conference, the College Music Society, the International Music Technology Conference and the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities.
He is married to Marilee Budai and lives in Campbellsville, Ky. They have two children, Annalynn and Brenden.
