CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Dr. Jill Day, assistant professor of human performance at Campbellsville University, has been promoted to associate professor of human performance, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.
Day of Campbellsville has served at Campbellsville University since 2007.
Day’s research on obesity, which helped secure a grant in Clay County through Kosair’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky., was published in The Washington Post in August 2010.
Day is a 2002 and 2005 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor of science in physical education and a master of science in exercise and sports science. She also has a doctor of education in kinesiology and health promotion from the University of Kentucky.
The Manchester, Ky. native is a 1998 graduate of Clay County High School.
She is the daughter of Larry and Margaret Day of Manchester.
