Digital Content Producer

WAVE 3 News, the NBC affiliate in Louisville, Ky., is looking to add a full-time producer to its digital team. Top applicants will have experience producing and posting articles, slideshows and videos to digital platforms such as web and mobile. A deep understanding of social media also is required, as is experience with Photoshop. We are also now in the OTT and voice game, so quick learners comfortable with growing their skill sets on the fly are encouraged to apply.
A strong candidate also possesses a comfort with technical duties such as setting up video livestreams. We’re looking for an enthusiastic producer with strong news judgment and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, both with and without supervision.
This is not an entry-level position. The ideal digital journalist is one with prior newsroom experience who can thrive in a breaking news environment in which priorities and assignments change frequently. Flexibility in scheduling is required as well, particularly in times of vacation, holiday and sick relief. Team players with positive attitudes and a sense of humor should complete an online application.
