Job Summary: The Family Advocate will work to achieve positive child and family outcomes through high-quality engagement. This individual will provide child-focused mediation between all stakeholders in the best interest of the child.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of higher education OR 2 years of experience in social work or a similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify students in need of additional support while collaborating with families and staff to meet needs
- Refer students and families to appropriate community and/or school resources, as needed
- Participate in campus-based outreach activities
- Establish and maintain confidential records of interaction with students/families
- Assist with new student on-boarding process
- Facilitate and Monitor the agreement reached that will be in the best interest of the child.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of services to families.
