LAKE CUMBERLAND DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Accepting applications for full time position to be based in Pulaski County. Serve under the Health Education Director coordinating a three year grant. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Promote policy development; develop and implement activities for community education such as presentations in classrooms, community groups and/or agencies; topics include Nutrition, Physical Activity, Tobacco, Safety and general health education and promotion. Establish a working relationship with community members and become familiar with available community resources. Assist in exchanging information with various organizations and agencies concerning health needs of the community and assist in assembling materials to be utilized. Gather health information for the public relative to the specialized program. Distribute health education materials by a variety of methods. Participate as a team member. Demonstrate an awareness of public service announcements (PSA) and assist in writing public service announcements for radio and television. Collect and analyze data for health program needs.
Requirements: graduate of a college or university with a Bachelor Degree. Must have 1 year of health related or education experience. Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or professional license in health or human services fields will substitute for 1 year experience required. Beginning salary $12.15 per hour.
