Hospitality Matters: Practice loving and serving neighbors in real-world context, deepen your understanding of evangelism, and gain first-hand experience in operating a non-profit ministry.
Hospitality Matters has an opportunity for a student or two, or even a young ministry couple to join us for the summer and learn alongside us as we minister to neighbors and churches and create/ develop new tools and online resources for believers around the world. There will be practical hands-on work along with book assignments and weekly journaling and mentoring requirements. We could offer an official certificate for class credit if needed.
This is a live-onsite opportunity where you can engage and practice what you are learning 24-7 if you so choose.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute training events with local churches
- Partner with Garage Coffee & Tea Shop to connect with neighborhood
- Create content for social media, videos, and podcast
- Participate in daily prayer and listening rhythms, weekly mentoring and worship
gatherings, and monthly board meetings - Read and reflect on hospitality writings
- Serve in a part time job in the town where you will live
Location: Bardstown, KY
Dates: June 1, 2023 – August 1, 2023
Time Commitment: 20-25 hours/week
COST: $650–Fee covers room and board and books or materials as needed.
