Louisiana pastor John Boss to lead campus revival, serve as chapel speaker at CU

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — The Rev. John Boss, pastor of resort missionary/pastor at First Baptist Church of Grand Isle, La., will be the guest speaker at Campbellsville University’s chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., on the main campus of Campbellsville University.

Boss will also serve as the evangelist for the fall campus revival.

Campus revival will begin Tuesday, Oct. 1 and will end Thursday, Oct. 3. Services will take place at 9 o’clock nightly. The Baptist Campus Ministry Praise Team will be leading worship.

Everyone is invited to come to the chapel address and campus revival free of charge.

Boss has been preaching the gospel for 21 years and has served in his present position five years.

He has pastored for 16 years for five different Southern Baptist churches ranging including two in Florida, two in Louisiana and one in Alabama.

Boss also serves as a church planter for the Louisiana Baptist Convention/North American Mission Board. He planted Crosspoint Church in Galliano, La. seven months ago, and he preaches there and at First Baptist Church in Grand Isle each week.

He is a member of the executive board for the Louisiana Baptist Convention and serves on the administrative team for the Bayou Baptist.

Boss graduated from Grand Isle High School in 1993. Twelve years later he graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville, Fla. earning his bachelor of theology degree.

He has done additional postgraduate study at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Boss is married to Julia Vincent Boss. He is the father of four children: Caleb, Hannah, Micah and Isaac.
