If you are wondering what you’ll do this summer or even after graduation. Summer deadlines are just around the corner and we are already accepting applications to attend Officer Candidate School through next summer. By participating in a program called the Platoon Leaders Course (PLC) you will have the opportunity to see if you have what it takes to become a Marine Officer after college graduation.
The training is in Quantico Virginia and is:
- 2 x 6-week summers for freshmen and sophomores.
- 1 x 10-week summer for juniors, seniors, graduates or graduate students.
If you apply you are NOT obligated to serve in the military. If you complete the training AND graduate from college you will be OFFERED a commission in the Marine Corps as a Second Lieutenant.
You can choose from:
- Ground jobs
- Law/JAG (for law students or those planning to attend law school)
- Pilot (requires 20/40 or better vision)
- Cyber (limited slots available)
- Reserve options
If you complete PLC and decide to continue with the program, you will be eligible to receive an additional $8,350 for college and personal expenses each subsequent year (max of 3 years).
A similar opportunity is available for seniors and graduates up to the age of 34. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. If you are interested in more information or would like to learn if you qualify, please reply to this email/give us a call.
