PRODUCER POSITION– JOB SUMMARY
*Qualified applicants will have experience producing compelling, informative newscasts.
*We’re seeking a producer with a diverse skill set and a comfort working in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
*Enthusiastic producers with a four-year college degree, strong news judgment and the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once without much supervision are encouraged to apply.
*The ideal producer is one with prior newsroom experience who can thrive in a breaking news environment in which priorities and assignments change frequently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Produce newscasts and digital content as assigned
* Work with director to time and execute newscasts from control room in a fast paced, breaking news environment
* Collaborate with reporters to manage and develop stories from concept to air * Pitch compelling stories in daily editorial meetings
Requirements:
* At least two years newsroom experience
* Four-year college degree
* Strong, accurate writer
* Solid news judgment
* Experience with ENPS, Edius and ARC would be a plus
* Ability to work various shifts and serve on call as assigned
* Clean driving record
