Position Description: Position will be on a part-time basis, around 15-20 hours per week, in a setting of much needed church revitalization. Candidate will potentially have the opportunity to use other giftings in various ministry areas.
Principal Function: The Worship & Music Pastor shall oversee the complete Music Ministry of RABC and shepherd the congregation in God-glorifying, Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and Biblically-grounded worship that fits within the context of the community RABC seeks to reach for Christ, while supporting the overall vision of RABC.
Qualifications:
• Meet the qualifications of pastor found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Have some experience leading congregational worship, prefer experience with traditional style (1991 Baptist Hymnal).
• Be called and gifted into the Worship and/or Music Ministry.
• Prefer some college education.
• Be able to affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• Be complimentary to the current Pastor, staff, and RABC’s overall vision.
• Be able to lead worship in the following services each week: Sunday 10:45 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday 6:00 p.m.
• Be able to participate in small group Bible Study on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Compensation: TBD, but approximately $175-200/week.
