CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Ralph Duren, an outdoorsman, humorist and wildlife impersonator will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel service Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. in Ransdell Chapel, located at 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville.
The event is free and open to the public.

In addition to Campbellsville University’s chapel service, Duren will speak at Taylor County Elementary School, Kentucky Christian Academy and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Duren is a retired wildlife professional. He served with the Missouri Department of Conservation for 26 years as the Public Relations Specialist, Hunter Skills Specialist and Wildlife Damage Control Agent.
Duren was inducted into the Missouri Hunter Education Hall of Fame in 2007 and was the Missouri Conservation Federation’s Conservation Communicator of the Year in 1998. In 1995 and 2000, Duren was named the Grand National Wild Turkey Gobbling Champion and in 1997 he was the first World Quail Calling Champion.
Duren has appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, CBS “This Morning,” “Swan’s Place” and “Home Life” on Family Net, Michael Feldman’s “What Da’ You Know” on National Public Radio, AgriTalk Radio, and numerous hunting shows on the Outdoor Channel, Versus, ESPN and the Sportsmen’s Channel.
Duren had his own “Calls of the Wild” segment on the MDC’s Emmy Award winning Missouri Outdoors weekly television show for 20 years. He also appears monthly on KOMU TV’s Pepper & Friends television show. He is a regular guest on Ray Eye’s “Eye on the Outdoors” radio show on KFNS Radio in St. Louis.
Duren is a resident of Jefferson City, MO., with his wife, Cheryl. They have five children and nine grandchildren.
Duren serves at his local church, Memorial Baptist Church in Jefferson City, as a choir member, praise band drummer and Sunday school teacher.
Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through a variety of informative speakers and presentations. All chapels are open to the public free of charge and are televised live on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10) and on WLCU Radio 88.7 FM and are streamed live on the Internet.
