CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Ava Bingham Reynolds, a 1975 and 2007 alumna of Campbellsville College and University who is a member of Campbellsville University Board of Trustees, will speak at Campbellsville University’s chapel service, Wednesday, March 17, at 10 a.m.

Reynolds serves as an adjunct instructor at the Louisville Education Center. She is also a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

Reynolds spends time volunteering at St. Paul Shively Heights Baptist Church as an adult department Sunday School teacher, children’s choir worker and baptism committee chairperson.

She also works with Nicole’s place, a Christian-based ministry organization in Louisville that supports women experiencing parenting troubles, unplanned pregnancy, financial and educational crisis.

She has also served with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and is a former board member of Jefferson Street Baptist Center, which is a ministry for the homeless in Louisville.

“I choose to say I am blessed. Anything I have achieved is due to the unmerited favor of God! I seek wisdom from Him in making decisions and power from Him in approaching life’s opportunities,” she said.

Reynolds said she wants to inspire many people before she dies.

“God has given me a heart of compassion and a voice of conviction that knowing Him as Savior and Lord can make an earthly and eternal difference in the lives of all who will accept Him,” she said.

Reynolds said she would like to travel the world discovering and learning about the diverse cultures if she weren’t doing what she is doing now.

In 1975, Reynolds graduated with a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Theology in 2007, both from Campbellsville College.

Her father is Dr. Lincoln Bingham, who is the retired pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church at Shively Heights.

Reynolds is married to Roger Reynolds; they have two children: Lauren and Scott.

All chapels are televised on WLCU (Comcast Cable channel 10 and digital channel 15), streamed on Campbellsville University’s Facebook page and wlcutv.com and can be found at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGOyyKyrGBpSx8-uXa4NRtw.
