The Retail Manager is responsible for inspiring, developing, and motivating the retail team, driving sales, cash management and inventory management, and setting world class customer service standards. They will be sure to comply with all company policies, procedures, and legal compliance. They will inspire the team to work together, create an atmosphere of fun, while exceeding our customer’s
expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the retail team operations, ensuring the team provides world class customer service.
- Facilitate training for the retail team so they can successfully promote sales and understand the Suntex Marinas expectation for world class customer service.
- Achieve and exceed budgeted store revenue while controlling expenses
- Create retail programs
- Effectively hire and manage the retail team to assist in driving top line sales, while also controlling expenses
- Manage store margins to achieve between 38-42%
- Daily/weekly ordering of soft and hard line merchandise for the location
- Creates and drives sales promotions to assist in achieving sales revenue
- Comes up with creative ways to market the store
- Vendor events, showcasing new products, demonstrating new products, interactive displays
- Creates fun sales contests for store team
- Keeps up to date on all marine products to supply the most accurate information to our customers
- Rotate inventory monthly
- Complete all paperwork in a timely fashion
- Receive all invoices before merchandise is put out on the floor
- Ensures that the store is neat, clean, and organized at all times
- Everything is priced in the store
- Completes and submits a full physical inventory every quarter, with department cycle counts per month.
- Completes opening and closing procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and outstanding communication skills;
- Very organized and detail oriented;
- Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and have great sales skills
- Ability work independently to achieve goals and targets;
- Ability to organize and prioritize work;
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve team, department and corporate goals;
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external customers;
- Self-starter;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
