The beginning of the annual college financial aid application season is here. Filing opens on October 1 and will use the 2017 Tax Year.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, more commonly known as the FAFSA, is available for the 2019-2020 school year beginning October 1. Filling out the FAFSA is required to access any of the billions of dollars that get handed out each year in college grants, loans, and work study awards.
Whether you are a prospective student or will be returning to college, you need to apply for financial aid. To apply for financial aid you need to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (also called the FAFSA), which can be found online at fafsa.gov.
