CAMPBELLSVILLE,
Ky. — Campbellsville University has taken
another step to make Christian education more affordable for all students as
transfer scholarships will soon be increased from a few thousand dollars to opportunities
ranging from $6,000-$9,000.
“We’ve increased the amount of
transfer scholarships in order to reduce the amount of loans that transfer
students would need,” Kenny Lawson, transfer coordinator and men’s golf coach,
said.
As cost of tuition increased, the
number of transfer students began to decrease. There needed to be a greater
emphasis on financial aid for the students, Lawson said. The increase in
transfer scholarships is expected to help students in the transition process.
“I want to make transferring to CU
easier for all students,” Lawson said.
The transfer scholarship increase will
start at the beginning of the fall 2015 semester.
